Today, Alan brought another three cats to be spayed at our panel vet under our sponsorship.
The photos above were taken two days ago.
When I arrived today, one cat was already done and in recovery.
The procedure for the second cat was being done, and there was a bit of problem locating the cat’s uterus. We thought the cat had already been spayed…but Alan (the one with the cap) was very sure the cat gave birth in his house after being rescued. After probing for a few more minutes, her uterus was located. It was hidden by a lot of fat!
The third one waiting for her turn.
At the time of this posting, all three cats have been spayed and Alan has taken them home.
Tomorrow, we will be doing another four cats for Alan.
Viva la CNRM!

Dear Ms. Chan,
Thanks again. Today, I would like to type more in Chinese words.
I hope that Blogspot platform supports Chinese words. If the below Chinese words cannot be shown, then please delete this message, and I will type everything in English.
Thanks.
Alan.

Here's a translation of what I've written:
I shared about how "fragile" the life of little kittens. I shared about
stray cats got to face torturing out there, i.e, people kicking them,
pouring hot water at them, hit by car, etc.. I also shared about my feeling
towards such operation – I feel like sending them to final judgement.
You could see just now how nervous I was when the Dr. could not
find the uterus and got to keep on using a tool and finger to search
for it inside her body. If that cat was not in anaesthesia condition,
that would be crazily painful, when someone keeps on "digging"
inside her body . I was like feeling the pain of it at that time, and I
also felt that you did have such a feeling too, as you also tried to ask
the Dr. not to "search" for the uterus anymore as well just now.
Despite of my kind of feeling, in my posting sharing, I mentioned that
once we know how powerful the rate of reproduction of those stray cats,
then having such a surgery really is a MUST-do-thing. They just
got to suffer for few-hours pain after the surgery, and that is short term.
However, if they do not have spaying-neutering surgey, more stray cats
will face all sorts of problems. That kind of long-term negetive effect is
many times more painful than having the surgery.
Most importanly, I urged those animal lovers, especially those who
have applied for such a fund before, try their best to contribute to the
donation funds from time to time, so that more people, especially
poor stray animals out there can have a chance in doing such surgery.
So, my target audience for this round is those who can read
both English and Chinese words, but they mainly read and write
in Chinese words when they communicate with people. I stated in
my posting that when we donate to that fund, the amount of money
is not the first most important thing, but the intention + willingness
in helping you (share the burdens), other people, and other
stray animals are the most important matters which we
got to have in mind.
I said that we should not forget that we get the help from
the donation fund before, and we should always try our
best in contributing back, based on our best offort.
I also used one statement which I learn from Buddhism
in that posting to encourage or remind the readers. It is something
like this: "Don't think that because the bad thing seems so small
to you, and you go and do that bad thing. Then, try not to think that
because the good thing that you are going to do is so small, and then
you decide not to do it."
So hopefully, more people will contribute to that pool of funds,
so that out there.
Thanks.
Alan.
