Mandela passed away peacefully yesterday, in the arms of Roselin. He was rescued from the street 4 months ago, totally emaciated and very weak. Under the loving care of Roselin and with the friendship of a mother-cat and her kittens, Mandela got better and experienced the best time of his life, one that was showered with much love and care.
Mandela finally succumbed to FIV-related problems.

Rest in peace, Mandela. May you be in a peaceful existence now.

My heart sank on hearing the bad news about Mandela. Cant GOD be more kind to these poor innocent souls and give them a longer life
Never mind, friend, try to look at things this way to soothe our aching and bleeding hearts: all Mandela's pain and suffering in this hard, unkind world are now over, and he is now at rest forever in a peaceful and painless world.
We will all cherish his short presence with us, keeping all the precious, happy memories and thank God for the blessed opportunity offered to us (yes, besides Mandela, the people who take up the opportunity to do good are indeed the blessed ones!) to help and care for him during his last days and reap much joy and love in the process.
Our precious experiences with the likes of Mandela have left all of us richer in our hearts and minds, and may we all continue to look out for more opportunities to help the suffering animals around us, even though they seem such inconvenient, hopeless and near-death cases.
Even if they have never before known love and compassion from humans all their suffering lives, at least in their final moments they will have finally experienced it … if only we humans care to put aside our own interests just for a little while and simply give a little of ourselves.
Well done, Roselin and AnimalCare! God bless you all!
