Whiskey, a German Shepherd, is looking for a loving home. Her family, who adopted her 6 years ago from a dog shelter, is moving to a place which does not allow dogs. Whiskey is very good with children and loves cuddles.
Please help me find a home. I come with my own bed.
For more details, please contact Heidi on 012-670 8346.

Poor doggie, if its was me, I would rather look into all aspects to bring the doggie along. I wouldnt have the heart to leave the soul behind
Look at her. I sincerely hope that something changes along the way so that she won't have to be separated from her family.
I wonder why the family never checked out the new place before buying/renting. Six years is a long time to have to leave her behind. Let's pray that she will go to even a better home.
It is not just a home/shelter that is important to a dog. Dogs have very big hearts and are very attached and loyal to their humans to the point of dying for them. Look at the Japanese Machiko which faithfully went to the train station to wait for its human friend even after the professor had died. The dog faithfully and pined its heart out for sight of its human professor friend right up to its dying day, braving all the pain of old age in its joints, sitting amidst the cold wind and snow.
Some dog owners will never know just how much their dogs loved and pined for them.
Poor, poor Heidi!
It is a heart-wrenching situation when a dog who has been with a family for six years has to be given away. It is like giving away a human family member, for the dog would be like part of the family. I have a 13-year-old local dog who was adopted by my parents when it was a puppy. Six years ago, my parents decided to migrate to NZ to live with my sister and wanted to send the dog to the pound or spca and it would have been put to sleep. I refused to let them send it to the spca and took the dog down to kl where i was working and rented a house so i could keep the dog. Today it is part of my family now. I will take good care of it in its old age until the last day. Poor whiskey… i wish i can adopt him too…but i do not have a family and i can only handle a single dog at the moment.
Has she been adopted finally?
