While I was at the clinic today, something caught my eye.

How cute…four brand new babies suckling and another little kitten nearby the mum-cat. You’d think they are all her own babies?
They are not.
This mum-cat belongs to Rani, and she has been nursing many orphaned kittens for some time now. The little kitten by her side is also not her own, but she has been nursing her since she was an infant. These four brand new babies are also not hers. Apparently, their mother died in an accident yesterday and a good samaritan brought them to the clinic. Rani took them home and mum-cat happily nursed them.
According to Rani, mum-cat will “sayang” any baby kitten that is given to her.
Now, THIS is unconditional loving, and it’s something we all can learn from.
By the way, Rani has another mum-cat who behaves in the same way!
These two mum-cats have been “fostering” the many rescued and orphaned baby kittens that Rani brings home.
Isn’t it still a wonderful world?

This god mother is just like my cat May, which I had given away to SPCA, which I regret now. That time I had no cage or any sort & I couldnt keep all those 30 over cats in my flats at the 2nd floor. Whichever kitten I bring home, she immedietely licks them clean and accepts them at any stage.
Now, its my male cat Johnny Boy who does the same. Other adult male cats hiss at newcomers but Johnny readily accepts the kittens and immediately lets them suckle like a mama cat. But his eyeball is bad coz I couldnt afford to treat his eye infection his younger days and his schlerotic layer was damaged due to that. His favourite dish is kuay-teow goreng, maggie & coffee.
