They do not forget their animals

I must confess that in the last one week, I was so caught up with raising funds for Imm’s Shelter and some other cat-dog cases that I did not even have time to catch up with the news of the catastrophe in Japan and had not realised the magnitude of the severity of this disaster.

It was only in the last two days when the Japanese animal rescue stories came in that I started reading up on the news.

My daughter sent me this link:  http://ahbonknet.easyonlygames.com/?p=2348

Do take some time and read it.  It makes me marvel at just how stoic, united, caring and magnanimous the Japanese people are.  I am truly at a loss for words to describe my admiration for them.  They have risen to the occasion with a calm dignity that is rare and almost unheard of in other countries in the face of a tragedy of this calamitous magnitude.

I can only bow my head and salute them.  If ever there is any “blessing” from this disaster, it would be how much the rest of the world can learn from these incredible people.

AND….they also do not forget their animals in the face of such great suffering.  Now, that is also something we can all learn from and emulate.

That cute dog looks like an Akita (like Hachiko, the loyal dog).
Another lady getting her dog checked for radiation contamination.
And over here in Bolehland, we have leaders who say, “It’s just a cat!”
Shame on them!

I still have difficulty going to sleep because the images of that cruel woman hitting the already badly wounded and struggling poor tiny white and orange kitten repeatedly with her umbrella till it could move no more and then picked it up and stomped on its poor tiny, still and motionless body, crushing his tiny frail body keep haunting me!

I still feel greatly distressed, but do not regret watching the video one bit.

I strongly believe that we must all watch it to experience the extreme suffering and the terrible cruelty of that one incident alone in order that we may receive that surge determination that we get off our complacent "tidak apa" position and to strongly push for better protection for the poor innocent animals!

IT IS NOT JUST A CAT! IT IS ABOUT HUMAN CRUELTY AND ITS DANGEROUS POTENTIAL TOWARDS HARMING HUMANS TOO!

Very true. The video clip kept haunting me too and I was very stressed up.
