Lost pup in need of help and for adoption

Calling Puchong residents – Please help, if you can.  Margret’s hp is given below.  Ask your friends, colleagues if they would like to adopt this pup.  No photo yet, but I’ve enlisted a friend to help take one.  Margret lives in Wawasan 1, Puchong.

Help needed:
1.  Someone to take the pup to the vet.
2.  Someone to adopt the pup.

Dear Dr Chan,

Yesterday, a little male pup came to my house through the plastic gauze at gate whinning away, either in pain or hunger. I gave him some of my dog, Metta’s, biscuits and some water which he gulped down. After that he disappeared. Later, he returned and slept under my son’s car.

This morning, before I went to Sunday School, gave him some food again and he slept under the car again until I returned from Sunday School. In the afternoon my son took off the thick chain that was round the pup’s neck – he did not have a dog licence.

The cute thing about this pup is that he went out the front gate to wee wee. So far, did not see him poo poo.

He disappeared again in the evening and came back very late in the night. I gave him a bath and scrubbed about an inch of dirt off him. His tummy appear bloated and his nails are sharp and long. After the bathe, I wiped him dry with a towel and wrapped him with a T-shirt and hugged him so that he will not be cold. After a short while he wriggled free and chased my pet, Metta.

Metta is about 9 kg (medium sized female) who is of Terrier and Shitzu mixed but she ran for her life. (Metta lives indoors and does not get to enjoy even an evening walk due to my tight work schedule.) She was obviously afraid of this puppy who tirelessly gave chase. As I did not wish to make her miserable, I had to let the pup go out to the porch. He chased after me (after having some food and water) and tried to enter the house, whinning at the door.

I have asked many people whether they can adopt this pup but to no avail. As I cannot afford the time or financials to raise another dog, I hope you can please help to find this pup a decent home. I am unable even to send him to the vet for a check up or jabs as I do not have a car nor drive. My son’s work schedule does not coincide with the vet’s operating hours so he cannot send him. In the meantime, I wonder if you know anyone who can please send him to the vet – I am willing to sponsor his medical expenses or whatever is required – even to neuter him but I think he maybe too young.

I do not have a camera, so cannot take a picture of this mongrel like pup with 2 brown patches on his white body. His paws are very big, so I think he will be a pretty big dog. His face is dark brown and he has sad looking eyes. Seems injured on the right hind leg as he was limping slightly. Not experienced enough to guess his age but I think he may be 2 months old and is teething. I will try to ask for help to take a photo of him.

Your kind advice and urgent help will be most appreciated. Thank you.

Yours sincerely
Margret
