Ginger’s second mange jab

While we were at Sunway Pyramid, Alex brought Ginger for his second mange jab:

I took Ginger for her 2nd jab yesterday. There was a lot of pets and owners in the clinic yesterday so I waited for a bit. (Ginger even fell asleep in the carrier!) Her 2nd jab went smoothly without much fuss, and despite the more than an hour wait, it only lasted a couple of minutes! However, the vet expressed concern that Ginger had not gained much weight, despite having a great appetite. But I’m going to give her another week to see if she can gain some weight or not.
Then today, Ginger seems to be limping a little, or doesn’t seem too stable. I noticed in 3 occasions where she almost fall on her sides. But she seems active, keep wanting pets and rubbing her head to my legs when I was preparing her breakfast for her. I am hoping that this is just a side effect of the mange jab yesterday, but I will watch her closely if her imbalanceness persists.

She is a really friendly and smart cat. She seems to know that she can’t wander outside too much, so she always stay nearby the cat carrier, only leaving the house when she wants to go to the loo. (I don’t have a litter box) Ginger spends her time sleeping in the carrier, but she seems content. I guess like people, sick animals also like to sleep more than anything.

Attached are photos of Ginger, one when she is at the vet’s, waiting, (I was bored!) and the others show how well she is recovering from her mange. The crusts on her ears and face had almost all fallen off by now, and her eyes seems brighter and bigger as well. She just generally looks healthier! 🙂 Now if only she will gain weight, haha.

Alex stopped by my house yesterday to get some catfood for Ginger.  I’m concerned about Ginger having not gained any weight since last week.  I’ve told Alex to monitor this and bring Ginger back to the vet’s if his condition does not improve.
