Lilac’s updates

I had been very busy as my college has just started its new semester.  It’s only today that I could find some time to visit Lilac and speak to the vet.

Lilac is bright and alert, but she still cannot walk.  There is a sort of “adhesion” between the leg and the body, and the vet needs another surgery to determine what is causing this.  The rescuer would have to be consulted if she wants this done.

There is still a swelling which indicates the leakage of urine.  Exploratory surgery would need to be done to determine just what is wrong.
We await the rescuer’s decision on this.
Lilac is not our rescue, so we have to respect the rescuer’s decision.  In fact, I am told today that the rescuer is also the owner, or is related to the owner.  Ah…it is a complicated matter between them.
We are here to help Lilac as much as we can with the financial assistance for her medical needs.
The rescuer has contacted me for financial help for the first surgery, and we have pledged our help.

Shouldnt pet owners be taking care of their own pets rather than relying on AnimalCare?

AnimalCare has its hands full already dealing with stray cats and dogs.
