This afternoon, our vet called me. He was in the Kamunting area in Taiping and had found a mother-dog and her newborn puppies inside a drain. Tried as he did, the mother-dog was ferocious. He asked if I knew of any rescuers in Taiping.
I didn’t, but our vet remembered Mdm Kang, the elderly lady who single-handedly manages a dog-shelter there.
So, I texted several people for Mdm Kang’s number, but finally found it in my own mailbox because years ago, we had donated industrial rice-cookers to her.
The connection was made and would you believe it, in a matter of minutes, our vet called to say Mdm Kang had come to take the whole dog family to her shelter.
Three cheers for Mdm Kang…and our vet, of course!

Nope. I wasn't there.
If not for the kind-hearted vet and Mrs Kang, the mommy and puppies would have made it to the shelter. Kudos to the team!
