TEN times more….(from Raja Petra’s article)

A friend just forwarded an article by Raja Petra, who, with his wife, was recently in Bali for a holiday.

Raja Petra described just how impressed he is with the honesty of the Balinese people.

Here’s an excerpt from his article:

I asked one Balinese girl who was giving me a two-hour massage how come the Balinese are so honest.

“It is because we believe in karma,” she replied.

“Oh,” I responded, “that means whatever you do to others the same thing will happen to you (balasan yang sama).”

“No,” she replied. “Whatever you do to others ten times more will happen to you. And that includes both good and bad things.”

To all who harm animals, do please take note.

To all who do good, goodnight, sleep well.

Well said KY. I strongly believe in this too.

Another thing that I would like to share is something that my late grandfather told me and my siblings.

He said animals prayed just like humans did. But unlike human beings they never demanded or asked anything for themselves.

All the animals asked for was that the people who loved and cared for them as well as those who had been kind and compassionate be blessed many times over.

    Best,

    W

  2. Hi W,
Ahh….now I understand why my late colleague, who was a devout Hindu, used to tell me that the best way to redeem one's wrongdoings is by doing good to the animals. He never told me why, though.
    Thanks for the sharing.
Let's bless the animals many times over too!

Some understand the point, some dont. In Tamil there is a saying, you can wake a sleeping person up but you cant when a person is pretending to be asleep.

A little bit of food & water for hunger and thirst, and a small place for shelter, thats all we give to an animal. And in return, we get that special blessing from ALMIGHTY. A simple logic where majority dont understand.
