  • Jenny is boarding in Puchong now

Photo updates of Jenny: Mei Leng bought Jenny a special treat of chicken rice.  She ate all the chicken and left the rice! The e-collar is necessary to prevent her from biting her stitches. Drinking water. So far, Jenny is doing very well.

  • Jenny is discharged and is now boarding at Puchong

Mei Leng came over to discharge Jenny.  She said Jenny was so happy she actually ran around the clinic.  Mei Leng is beginning to think that Jenny could be another very perky little dog, just like her own Perky (our Klang Pound rescue, who defied the odds to live and thrive!).  Mei Leng sponsored Perky’s…

  • Mdm Hoo’s 3 stray dogs spayed

Mdm Hoo is from Kajang and she looks after many stray dogs.  On her own, she has been doing spay-neuter for many years.  Last week, we sponsored the spaying of 3 of her female dogs at her regular clinic.  Since it is not our panel clinic, we subsidised based on our rates.

  • Comel has gone back to the market now

Ah Fatt was at the clinic this afternoon, and the vet said Comel could already be discharged.  So, Ah Fatt brought her back to the market.  Thus, our 11 market cats have been CNRM-ed and have returned to the colony now.  Ah Fatt and the market folks will continue to look after them and we…

  • Bunny’s home!

The clinic closes at 6pm, so I had to pick up Bunny even before he had fully awakened from the sedation. The vet said the procedure went well, but some extras were done for Bunny, just to be on the safe side.  He was also given subcutaneous fluids to prevent dehydration. Bunny lying down comfortably in…

  • A new basket for the Sunnies

Rozita just sent these photos. The Sunnies have chosen their new basket… Thank you, Rozita! The Sunnies look very comfortable in their new green basket. I’m so happy that they feel right at home.

  • The Sunnies’ new home with Rozita and family

It was time to take the Sunnies to their new home.  Rozita said she would be home by 2.30pm.  I packed their milk, a new pack of RC Baby Cat, their little pink ball and Tiger’s basket.   Say thank you to Uncle Bobby first…  Thank you, Uncle Bobby.  Thank you, Uncle Bobby. Taman Tun…

  • Comel will stay a little longer at the clinic

Comel will not be discharged today as she still looked a little sluggish this morning.  It’ll be Monday then.  Rani says she will help keep an eye on Comel.  Thanks, Rani!

  • The 5 kittens are doing much better today

I popped into the clinic for a quick visit and the 5 kittens are doing much better today.  The two sick ones look better too.  I was worried the other three would come down with flu as well, but things look pretty good for now.  Flu spreads within a 10 metre radius, so it’s quite…

  • Jenny’s in fine fettle

Jenny is as good as she can be.  The vets are incredibly happy with her rate of recovery.   Hey Jenny!  She was so happy to see me (or anyone, for that matter!), she wagged her tail so happily. Lydia came later, to accompany another case at our vet’s, and Jenny was equally happy to…

  • Bunny’s injured….again!

Two nights ago, I heard sounds of fighting in the drain outside.  I went out and heard Bunny’s war-cry.  A ginger-white cat has appeared in our area a few weeks back and Bunny has been protecting his territory.  I tried to call Bunny out but he wouldn’t come out and there was nothing much I…

  • Request to help a pet cockerel

This is definitely a first.  I received an email request to help a pet cockerel with an injured leg last night.  I’ve consulted our vets and they said they do not have the medication for chickens, so they’d prefer not to.  The best place would be UPM as there is a specialist for chickens there.…

  • Sunshine for the Sunny Kittens

The Sunny Kittens just wanted to play all morning, so I brought them out to the garden.I’ve had wanted to do this for the last few days, but there’s just been so much to do every single day. Wow…what’s this?  It looks so interesting…  Fox explores…  This is called “grass”, kitties…  They are absolutely fascinated……

  • Breakfast time!

This morning’s breakfast:  Uncle Bobby supervises, as always.  And of course, he gets the leftovers, too!  Rex seems to know something’s happening….since last night. He is the “big brother” of the litter, and certainly does the job.  What leftovers, says Uncle Bobby…  I’m eating with you guys today.  The baby of the family still wants…

  • A sharing: A Poem to my Foster Dog

Lydia sent this to me late last night.  Thank you, Lydia. Hi Kah Yein, I just wanted to say I know how you feel wanting to spend every precious moment with your Sunshine Kits before they go off on their new journey. It echos what we as fosterers feel again and again. And as much…
