Harriot is adopted! (Koo’s rescue)

From Koo:

Firstly, thanks again for posting about the rescued terrier (ref:http://animalcare.my/2011/09/rescued-terrier-at-train-station.html ).

I’m pleased to inform that my rescued Terrier, whom I temporarily named Harriot, has been adopted by a wonderful expatriate family who has been in Malaysia for at least a decade. Their 2 young children have been bugging the parents for a dog but the parents held back until they could purchase a landed property with a garden. When they finally got one, they were looking to adopt, found Harriot online, fell in love with her and e-mailed me on the possibility of adoption. After an extensive interview (which included the possible scenario of them moving back aboard) and consulting animal welfare peers including AnimalCare, I’ve decided to let Harriot go (with certain conditions such as spaying at the Subang panel vet) with a little sadness though elated that I found the best possible home for her. I wish Harriot and her new family a happy life together.

The whole family turned out for the adoption on 18 September 2011. Thank you, Christophe, Mark, Berenice and Sophie!

Thank you and best regards,

Koo
