Here is a sharing by Agnes: http://www.nytimes.com/slideshow/2010/06/17/garden/20100617-catio-slideshow.html
Catios are enclosed spaces for cats so that they remain confined. It’s for owners who do not want them to roam freely, yet want to create some space for them to play in.

I have 10 cats (height was 15) and I had bad experience with 2 cats die of accidents. One definitely car. Therefore I keep all my cats indoor. Also no problems with neighbours!
I screened my balcony for my cats when we lived on the 4th floor. When we moved to this ground floor home, I temporary screened a part of the back-garden for them. So if I sit with them to have a smoke or coffee, we are one big happy caged in family!!
Tomorrow they will have a proper 'sun-room' built for them (OR ME ???)
BUT, now I am looking at these cats walking along the 'high-way' across the garden … and that set me thinking. Perhaps that would be the next project ??
Thanks for sharing! Really good!
