From Catherina this morning:
Jackie does not need blood transfusion at the moment, so I can take Bunny and Elmo home. But she may still need it any time if the blood test shows that her blood count is low. Her kidney and liver profile are still within the normal range. The urea is slightly high because she is very dehydrated. The dr said she is very depressed and dull.
No more parasites can be seen from the blood smear, possibly due to the Marbocyl (antibiotic) she had taken since last Saturday.
Dr will do more blood tests to check for underlying causes such as FIP.
We pray all will be well and Jackie will recover soon.
Meanwhile, three cheers to Bunny and Elmo for being the brave blood donors and for staying a night at the hospital with Jackie!
Hang in there, Catherina. We’re with you.
