This is from Humane Society International:
Unbelievably, street dogs in Ukraine are being poisoned in a terribly misguided effort to rid the streets of them in time for the Euro 2012 soccer championships. Meat laced with poison is being left out for the animals to consume, resulting in their prolonged and agonizing deaths.

Again! You see the problem? You must really forgive me for repeating myself. Can you see it’s all because killing is an option? People would resort to all ways to get rid of what they don’t like or whatever stands in the way of their convenience by killing those who are weaker and more defenseless than them.
I’m going to repeat myself if that’s what it takes – most major religions teach us NOT TO KILL, for whatever reasons. It is the First Precept in Buddhism. It is the First Vow of Jainism. It is the 5th or 6th Commandment in Christianity (depending on which version of the 10 Commandments you follow). Confucius says in the Golden Rule “Do unto others as you would have them done unto you”.
YET, people kill.
So, what’s wrong with people? They created religion for more peaceful and harmonious living, but they don’t follow its rules, or they only follow when it is convenient for them?
Let’s go sign the petition, shall we?

Done – thank you for sharing this. They forgot that their innocent children are watching and learning …..through their actions!
