Darling-Dog, TVT patient, now doing well (Subenes Velaiatham’s)

On 17th October, Subenes Velaiatham wrote to me:

I met this dog near my neighborhood, Bukit Mertajam, Penang. She is having something like tumor on her vagina. I’m too sure too what wrong with her. I and my friend are feeding her every day. It is very pitiful sight as she is in great pain, can’t even sit properly.

We are bringing her to Vet tomorrow to check on her.
Can we get some subsidization on the medical bill? I will forward the bill once the treatment is done.
Appreciate your soonest reply.

It certainly looked like TVT to me, and upon being checked by the vet, it was. Chemotherapy jabs were administered.

We assured Subenes we will subsidise the cost of treatment, as per our policies (50% up to a maximum of RM500).

Photo updates from Subenes after the 3rd jab:

And finally, on 6th Dec, Darling-Dog (the name given by Subenes) finished all her jabs and is declared fit enough. As with all TVT cases (like all cancers), there is no TOTAL recovery. There is just regression and remission, which is good enough. It would need lifelong monitoring in case it recurs, but in all the cases we’ve done, none has recurred.

Latest photos:

Sorry for the late reply, caught up with work. I have attached some of the latest photos of Darling.

I will forward the forms with the original bill tomorrow.

And for Darling’s condition now. She is perfectly fine now, and even her skin condition is completely recovered. Her furs are quite fluffy and shining now. J

The total cost of treatment is RM280 for 4 jabs.

We have subsidised RM140.

Thank you, Subenes, for doing the needful and helping Darling-Dog.

TVT is one of the most curable cancers in dogs. We have seen more critical-looking cases (like Amber’s and Retro-Girl’s) and they have all recovered beautifully with no recurrence.

It is always good when rescuers help defenseless animals but things get out of hand when these rescuers turn nasty. Subeneswari is one such person and both MDDB Penang, MDDB Central and GOE had come under attack from her. She called me a ‘fuxxxng obese old trash’ and Ruth Chow from the Garden of Eden and ‘old whore’. She abused us because we confronted another rescuer who had alleged that we had no dogs in our half-way-home. She also fabricated some lies about Penang MDDB. Help the dog please but be careful of this individual Kah Yein.
