Supplements for your pets (Joy E. Saga’s)

Joy E. Saga shared this, I think it’s a wonderful link, full of useful information and as it says right at the top – The Best Diets are Fed with Love!

http://www.pet-grub.com/appendixA/pet_supplements_i_use

It says that if we can only afford one supplement for our pets, it would have to be a calcium supplement and we can actually make our own with ground eggshells!

There are lots of very useful tips in the link. Do please read it through.

Thank you, Joy!

    You’re welcome!

I also remember in our Biology class during secondary school, if your chickens lay eggs whereby the shells are not hard enough, crush egg shells mix with their feed to be given to harden the next batch of eggs. 🙂 Makes sense.

I’m going to make my own calcium now (for me and my cats) – no more throwing away egg shells! Yeay!

    Something worth reading: http://www.sciencebasedmedicine.org/index.php/the-top-ten-pet-supplements-do-they-work/

I personally feed fish oil and probiotics/enzymes/glucosamine, as my dogs have skin allergies and constant soft poo.

As for the other vitamins, reading up on the scientific research can be quite enlightening.
