  • The passing of Sweetie (Linda Suhaili’s)

Sweetie was a street dog rescued by Linda Suhaili in Ipoh. Linda brought Sweetie to the vet for treatment, of which we helped subsidise. After Sweetie was well, Linda even found Sweetie a home. Ref: http://animalcare.my/2011/11/30/sweetie-is-adopted-linda-suhailis/ However, a few days ago, Linda wrote to say that Sweetie had passed on. The cause of death is unknown.…

  • Indy’s and my afternoon

I figured the best option would be to confine Indy in the room with me, but he was very restless and actually “called” to ask me to let him out. Sigh…the stress of being confined is not good, yet, if I let him out, he would just go out to the street. Indy stayed in…

  • A new kid on the block – Tabs

I’m told worrying does not help, which is absolutely true. So, while I’m here in the room with Indy, waiting and hoping the antibiotics would work and he will be well again, amidst the soothing chant of Metta playing, I’ll tell you about this new kid on the block. A new neighbour moved onto my…

  • Bunny’s updates

Bunny sleeping on Jia-Wen’s pillow. His temperature this morning was 39.2 degrees. He ate his breakfast, so that’s not so worrying.

  • Subsidy for Ginger’s amputation and treatment (Aniza Abdullah’s)

  • No visible stones in Indy’s kidneys, but…

I brought Indy to the vet’s today. His temperature taken at home with the digital thermometer was 39.2 degrees. But he had stopped eating since yesterday afternoon, so that was a cause for concern. Indy was terribly stressed in the car ride and by the time we reached the vet’s, with the dogs’ barking and…

  • Indy has stopped eating

Indy stopped eating since yesterday afternoon. It doesn’t look too good, and his temperature is 39.8 degrees. He was under the neighbour’s car this morning. I brought him back but he still refused food. I’ll have to attend to Indy today, so please excuse me if I am unable to reply to your emails and…

  • A female dog spayed (Mdm Lee’s)

Agnes asked last week, on behalf of a Mdm Lee, if we could sponsor the spaying of the dogs she is currently feeding: A lady known as Mdm Lee called me this morning for help to spay a puppy. She stays in OUG and got my hp no from Ms Looi, feeder of a few cats around her…

  • Getting a place for Indy

I went Indy-hunting just now, and after sometime, he called me…from a neighbour’s garden. There he is! He could not (or did not want to) jump across the drain, so I had to carry him over. I brought him back to the house, but as usual, he was not comfortable. Meanwhile, Bunny is upstairs on…

  • The Bunnyphant goes to the vet’s

Indy was minding his own business, sitting on the deck, which is a good thing. At least he’s not missing. And so was Bunny. But soon, Bunny came inside, and went upstairs to sit on the “sick blanket” at the foot on my bed. His body did not feel warm, but I just felt like…

  • The car drove away…and I got Indy!

Oh good, the car’s gone. Now, where is Indy? There he is! He refused to come to me when I called him. And there’s wet cement in front so it would be difficult to get to him. Pole gladly came. Yes, Pole,  know you’re a very good girl. Could you, perhaps, get Indy to come?…

  • Tsunami relief funds used to kill whales?

Now, this is really disturbing. Just when the whole world was full of praises for the Japanese government for handling the tsunami? And on the subject of whaling, so much attention had been drawn to the killing of whales on Faroe Island (self-governed province in Denmark) where it was done as a horrific and brutal…

  • Sunshine in her element

Well, at least we’ve got good news from Sunshine’s side. Here are some updates from my friend: Hi Kah Yein, This past week has mostly been good for Sunshine!! She can now poo and pee on her own. Just to be sure, at the beginning of the day and at the end of the day…
