Helping Kim and her dogs

We seem to be starting this year with happy news and that’s really encouraging.

Recently, we subsidised the spay-neuter of eight of Kim’s dogs at her shelter. Kim is a single lady looking after 30+ dogs including a paralysed one.

KT Tan read about Kim’s selfless efforts and decided he wanted to help her out with food and other needs for her shelter.

Arrangements were made and KT’s generosity was realised a few days ago. My friends, Ho YF and Agnes went to collect the food and other things from KT to deliver to Kim.

Ho YF writes:

Yesterday Agnes and I went to collect dog food (kibbles, can, shampoo, dog bowls) from KT Tan for Kim. Very generous of him. He also gave us old cangkul, shears, axe, hand drill and a tool box. We gave the tools and dog food to Kim’s friend to be passed to Kim.

Kim came down last night and she thanked everyone for the dog food, pampers and food stuff. Sis KY, if you had not helped Kim with the spay/neuter of the pups, KTTan would not have offered to help with food for the dogs.

On another note, we also went to visit Sunshine. She has big soulful eyes, as though she understands what her caregiver told us about her. We even saw her walk, she used mainly her trunk muscle. We believe she will recover soon. Even the caregiver’s other dog who used to be paralysed and was worst off can walk again. The caregiver has done a good job. She doesn’t take many but rehabilitate one at a time. I saw how her previous dog progressed from the day she was rescued until she could walk again.

Thank you and we shall continue to work together for the animals.

I’m very glad that somebody helped Kim. My friend and I helped Kim by donating rice, kibbles and canned food to her once in a while. It would be good if more people knows abt her plight and offer her help in one or any other ways.
Dr. Chan, would you be able to blog abt puppies that are dumped @ Kim’s place so that she can rehome them? There are a few there, if I am not mistaken…

I can blog as long as Kim sends me their photos and and a write-up. Or, someone does it on her behalf, with her consent.
