Correction: It is not 10k, but only 5k (Sunsuper Dreams Prize)

Dear all,

A reader has just alerted me that the bonus 5k grant is not for the winner with the highest no of votes, but for an Australian charity of their choice, in conjunction with Australia Day this month.

This is taken from the Sunsuper Q&A:

What is the bonus Australia Day Grant:

To celebrate Australia Day, for Round 11 Sunsuper will be awarding an extra grant to a dream of their choosing that benefits an Australian charity, organisation or cause. This decision will be at the sole discretion of the Promoter. For this round, two $5,000 grants will be awarded, one to the dream with the highest number of votes, and the other awarded to a dream to be carried out within Australia.

So, even if we win, it would only be AUD5k, not AUD10k as we had earlier assumed. I have written to James Blackwell to inform him of this. This was not written clearly in their website and could only be found in the Q&A. No wonder many of us missed it. So sorry for the wrong information, folks. I too did not know.

Well, it doesn’t matter how much. It is the journey that matters and not the value of the prize per se. If it is just AUD5k, we will still share it (IF we win) as pledged, but each organisation will be getting less than what was originally planned.

The Kenyan Dream is fast catching up. They seem set on a bullrun every day, at about 1.30pm (our time). Maybe that’s daytime for the African continent.  At the rate they are going, they will win this contest, unless we get more votes each day.

Let’s just do it anyway, folks, and win this for the stray animals in Malaysia.
