An eco-friendly insect repellent – doesn’t kill, just repels

This morning, I was introduced to an eco-friendly insect repellent. I was actually looking at vegetable seeds as I wanted to plant some vegetables for my home use. So, this person who manages a farm explained all about planting vegetables to me and how they control pests in their organic farm.

They use this:

He specifically told me this is just a repellent and it does NOT kill any insects. It just repels them. Excellent, just what I was looking for as my new house seems to have a housefly colony that would have a field day whenever the cats eat.

This product is water-soluble and non-toxic. It is made of natural ingredients like garlic, chilli, clove oil, wood vinegar, etc.

 Indy checks it out!

Interesting! Is it safe to spray on animals? I normally use water + eucalyptus oil solution to repel mosquitoes but I notice it doesn’t always work.

Don’t know yet. But I’ve tried and it really did not kill the flies or the little worms.

    Hi there,

There are some natural and homemade recipes that you can try that are good for repelling insects. You can try lemongrass + red chilli, just blend them, filter them and transfer the liquid into a spraying canister of some kind. My students did an assignment on this, and they really works!
