Lilian Tong’s kitty given a clean bill of health at the vet’s

From Lilian:

Hi Dr C!

Yep, I was out and about early in the morning and head to the vet’s, where I was greeted by a kind and friendly vet and his crew. He did a check up on kitty, was gentle and really friendly! She was administered with a deworming medication and sprayed with Frontline after the vet said she looked healthy; no apparent fleas (Frontline would help to eliminate the infestation of eggs, if any), no skin diseases and has quite a meow! He also gave me a bottle of L-Lysine to help encourage her appetite and to boost her immune system I think. He advised on how to care for kitty and said if she does not poop by (latest) Tuesday then I would have to bring her back.
On my way home, kitty pooped in her box. WELL, I’ve gotta say, I’ve never been so relieved to see poop in my life 😀
So that’s our story, thanks to you and your readers (all early risers! or late sleepers?) who gave really good recommendations/comments, I shall keep the other clinic in mind since it’s pretty near my area and shall not be so ‘kan cheong’ when I see her constantly sleeping these few days 🙂
The vet said she is about 5 weeks old, so we decided her birthday would be on the 21st of Jan. Looks like I’ll need to throw kit kat a post birthday celebration soon ey?
Lilian

Hooray for kitty and a bigger hooray for first-time rescuer, Lilian!!

Just a note to everyone: When you send me posts, I have to edit out the vet’s names and clinic names because I have been told by several vets that it is against veterinarians’ professional ethics to have their names and clinic names publicised this way (it’s violation of their ethics). So, you can write to me with their names, but when I publish, I have to blank them out as “the vet” and “the clinic”.  Even when taking photographs, it’s better to take without the vet’s face, though some vets do not mind. Faces aren’t as “tell-tale” as names. So, it isn’t because I don’t want to give credit to the vets (believe me, I do!!), it’s because it is against their professional ethics. You may write to me personally if you wish us to recommend the vets whom we’ve worked with.
