Updates on Blackey, sporo-cat in Kedah (Sha’s)

Updates from Sha:

Sad news, the sporo comes back..the wound opens up and begins to bleed soon after I take her back. The vet asked me to bring her back to the clinic in 2 weeks time (interval time without medication). And the treatment and boarding at the clinic will continue like before. I have been fostering many kittens cats during the past years but Blackey is the most serious case I have ever seen. kind of panic and anxiety at the same time. And her hernia is getting bigger too, bigger than an egg. Surgery is needed to remove the blockage and to repair the hernia. Right now, I’m trying to deal with the vet what should I do within this interval period.

According to Sha, the vet has decided to stop the medication for 2 weeks and has asked Sha to take Blackey back. Apparently, he has his own protocol for treating sporotrichosis. He is not using Itraconazole, but another medication.*

We’ve pledged our subsidy for Blackey’s treatment (the sporo and the hernia).
