Hi KY,
We just came back from the 2 areas after searching since 8.30am. No Ofie. We walked in the back alleys, called him and shake the food in the containers and our keys. He could be anywhere by now! As it’s now school holidays, Connie and her kids will go back to look some more. It’s really like looking for that needle in the hay stack. Plus Ofie could be very scared and remain hiding.Damansara Jaya around the Atria area used to have many cats at all hours. Strangely as we were walking around there were hardly any! Where are they? Have the local councils been rounding up the cats in DJ?Thanks for your support and the blog post. Hope someone spots him and contact us.Chen
If you are living in the surrounding areas of “One is SS24 (Taman Megah, PJ) around Fatty Crab and the second place was “near Ong Ka Ting’s house” which we deduced to be somewhere in Damansara Jaya near Atria area”, please keep a lookout for Ofie.
He was wearing a bright green collar, but the dumper may have removed it.
If you spot Ofie, please contact Connie immediately on 019 355 6818. Connie and her children are very worried about Ofie.
Ofie is a gentle cat and may still be hiding.
Please help.
I have also alerted the PJ cat pound (PAWS) to keep a lookout for Ofie, in case he is brought in.
We are also praying that the dumper will reveal the location of where he had dumped Ofie.
UPDATES at 11.12am – PAWS says they currently have many cats that look like Ofie and has asked Chen Chen to go in and view. Also, most cats brought in already have their collars removed. Fingers crossed, folks. I have texted Chen Chen about this.
Updates at 3.29pm – The area is Damansara Utama, not Damansara Jaya. From Chen (below):
Connie is looking into PAWS. She got further news from the neigbour who is friendly with the wife of cat-dumping man. It seems that he dumped one cat in the vicinity of Ong Ka Ting’s PREVIOUS residence which Connie’s sister believes to be around Damansara Utama (not Damansara Jaya where we went looking this morning). So can I ask the cat caregivers around Damansara Utama to keep a look out for a light ginger male tabby with a light green collar with a gentle disposition?
