Hi Dr Chan,

There’s a mother cat and baby kitten (about 2months) in my housing
area that always choose to sleep at my backyard. Their pity face
always makes me cook more so there’s leftover to feed them. However,
its hard to get close to them, because both mother cat & kitten are
very cautious and scared to be so closed with anybody. I saw this
kitten’s right eye is smaller, red & teary. Thinking of sending this
kitten to vet for medical check up & treatment for the eye before it
getting worst. The mother cat herself
has minor mange at her ear..but I don’t think I manage to catch her &
bring to vet since she’s so scared to get close with anybody. So
hereby I’m applying for subsidy of medical treatment for the kitten
first.

Thank you.

A follow-up from May Meila:

I’ve sent the kitten to vet yesterday. The vet said its a normal eye
infection that kittens usually get. The vet gave the kitten deworm,
eyedrops and another liquid medicine. Wanted to get the kitten
vaccinated also yesterday but the vet advised wait after the kitten’s
eye recover. Here’s the picture after the visit the vet.

Wow! What a difference before and after the treatment. The medication worked so quickly. Good for you, May Meila! Finish the course of antibiotics, and then vaccination, and that kitten has a much better chance at survival. 🙂
