A friend sent me this link:
http://www.yourhealth.com.sg/content/dog-can-detect-cancer-high-accuracy-levels
He suggested that we work with dog trainers to train street dogs to do this, then, to put it bluntly, there would be some “use” for these dogs, and the shelters might not have to have them euthanised.
Of course it is a good idea, but do we have such experts in our country?
If you know of any, it would be good to share.
Maybe we can propose it to the shelters.

Dear Sis.Chan Kah Yein,
I’ve been following you blog and also aware this is shared in your facebook page, I even leave a comment about.
In my personal opinion, this is a very big project if you want to start this one.
because 1st we need animal behaviourist – to “screen” the dogs if they are fit to train.
then we need to train the dogs to be a Sniffer, I’m not sure if the animal trainers here are equipped with that knowledge, the trainers I can think of that has the knowledge is from the police department. But you can try asking around and don’t take my word it at the moment.
Plus, we going to need cancer tissue samples for the training,I hope is easy to source.
this are my concern if this project going to be initiate.
Hi Ming, Thanks for your concern. It wasn’t my idea to start this project! It was a joke initiated by two friends on facebook so I just responded accordingly. And I blogged it to let people know that there are such things in other countries. So, no worries, I’m definitely not starting it. I already have too much on my plate!
Phew, I was worried if you serious about it
and yes you have.
