Updates on the mother-dog and puppies (Kelly Tan’s)

Ref: http://animalcare.my/2012/04/22/what-went-wrong-for-the-7-puppies-and-their-mother/

The mother-dog whom two vets rejected, has been nursed back to health by the caregiver, Kelly Tan. She handfed the dog Aloe Vera and that seemed to help a lot. According to our contact in Ipoh, Ms Lee, the mother-dog is now fine.

The surviving puppies are all fine as well.

All in all, they only lost one puppy from that mysterious outbreak (suspected to be distemper). The sickly puppies were all put on drips, but the mother-dog was rejected by two vets. Kelly was advised to take the mother-dog back. She fed the dog Aloe Vera over two days and the mum-dog survived (see photos below, taken yesterday).

Kelly and Jacinta will be claiming a subsidy from us for the vaccinations and treatment of all the puppies.

Here are the photos:

 They look good, don’t they?

It’s amazing that Aloe Vera did the trick!

Barefoot knowledge?

Apparently, Kelly Tan uses it often to “treat” her sick dogs, and it works.

One afternoon my cat Look came home with one eye-corner red and slightly swelled. I went to my garden and peeled an aloe vera leaf and applied the aloe vera gel to the affected area and the next day, the eye is 100% clear. Happy.
