A journalist from the Malay Mail contacted me sometime last month. He was interested in doing an article on our work. So, I was told to provide a write-up on our work, which I did.
His write-up was published today, and we’d like to thank the journalist very much for publicising our work.
However, for the benefit of all who have read the article, I wish to clarify here that there is a minor error in Paragraph 2, Line 2 – we do NOT subsidise grooming. No where in my write-up did I say we subsidise grooming either.
I think, perhaps, the article was placed right next to the one on grooming, hence, the word “grooming” kind of “floated” over?
Anyway, I’ve written in to the editor-in-chief, and hopefully, at least the online version can be changed.
Else, I might be swarmed with rescuers asking for grooming subsidy!!

We’re right beside the article on grooming.
That’s Baggy with Emily, and the other one has Mr Teh’s photo.
You know how it is that we humans tend to spot the errors and not appreciate everything else? Well, let me not fall into that category. We wish to record our grateful thanks to Malay Mail for the article and the publicity for our work. Hopefully, the message reaches out to more people.
Thank you, Malay Mail.
P.S. This is why I’m really scared of giving statements to the press. I understand errors do happen and somehow, most media do not send the article to us for vetting before it is published.

That has to be groundbreaking, none of the animals welfare/ rescue groups provide subsidy for grooming so far, talk about being different LOL! Errr may I apply? 🙂
🙂
I’ve 10 dogs. I want to apply too! LOL!!
🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 (one for each of your dogs!)
LOL!!!
There’s another glaring mistake from what I read in the online version: the letter C in CNRM stands for Care, not Control as printed. Haha
Oh gosh…normally, I don’t even dare read what is published! You’ll see why. I don’t know how words can be added in like this when I sent my own write-up and “C” is definitely CARE, not Control! Oh well… NST wrote “C” = Catch in their article a few weeks back!
Makes you really doubt the truth of what you read in the media if errors like this occur all the time. Maybe “control” and “catch” sounds more sensational than “care.” Care is so boring – brings to mind of crazy cat ladies feeding strays 😛
I wonder if what the writer meant was that all the animals that has been rescued, their grooming had been sponsored in some way or another i.e. from fosterers, rescuers etc. Not that you are subsidizing the grooming???
