In light of the unfortunate bull terrier incident, I have received news from several sources that the local councils in certain areas in Selangor may be conducting big-scale dog-capturing operations very soon. Today’s news just received seems to indicate the PJ area this weekend.
We urge all caregivers to take in your community animals (into your house compound) and also, please do not allow your pets to roam freely anywhere outside your house compound to prevent them from being captured.
We strongly suggest you protect all your animals, ie. dogs and cats.

Unfortunately, the dog catching op already started big time in Puchong. Ah Yoke’s uncle who lives there says the stray dogs are being rounded up everyday.
It is so sad to see stray dogs desperately trying to run and hide whenever they hear sounds of gun……..I put the blame on irresponsible dog owners for their plight. They dont neuter their dogs and when their dogs give birth to puppies, the poor puppies are abandoned/ thrown away. My mother lived with one such neighbour whose dog is pregnant (at present ) for the third time. She had advised the neighbour and even offered to help pay for the neutering, unfortunately to no avail. SO the puppies grow up to be strays, that is if they survive.
