Medical subsidy for 2 puppies (Lydia Lim on behalf of Kim Fho)

We have subsidised RM80 for this case.

Dear Kah Yein,

I would like to apply for Animal Care’s medical subsidy for 2 rescue dogs under Kim’s care who are not well.Receipt for these two cases have been handed to you (receipt no. 0374).

Peace has mange and is under medication for it. The vet bill is for her mange medication. Peace also came down with distemper and currently showing mild neurological signs of the virus. Kim is doing her best to nurse Peace back to health. Since Peace is still quite weak and Kim’s place is quite cool at night, Peace is covered with many towels or we have been trying to fashion some coat for her to keep her warm.

Peace was a stray who used to hang around the previous place where Kim stayed at. When Kim and others moved out of the place, Nasha kept running after them and tried to follow them. Kim felt sorry and took her in.

Nasha is one of the pup’s which Animal Care and KL Pooch Rescue recently helped with the medical subsidy for parvo treatment and has also come down with distemper. Nasha is weak in the limbs and has been only lying on her side but today Kim gave me the good news that she has been trying to sit up. Last week when I visited Kim we worked out some light exercises and massage to keep Nasha from getting stiff. Kim has to turn her ever so often on her side.
