  • More on Bosco and the outside gang

So, as expected, the aggression from Mr G did not deter Bosco from trying to wrestle the territory (of our front lawn and our house) from Mr G. When Mr G wasn’t looking… Bosco came INTO the house and made himself most comfortable!  I kinda like it in here. Well yes, it seems like you…

  • With a little help from our reader…

When we blogged about Siti Noraini Suriya’s cats (http://animalcare.my/2012/08/02/medical-subsidy-for-putih-noraini-suriya-arshads/) and the help that she needed, one of our readers responded and literally took Siti Noraini under her wing. This reader wrote to me and said she would help Noraini with the medical needs of all her remaining cats, financially as well as in offering her vet.…

She looks after about 30 cats in her neighbourhood and has previously offered to foster some of the cats we’ve sent out appeals for. Here are some photos of the happy…

  • In celebration of World Animal Day, here is a lion rescue story

This is to remind us that animals also care for their young as we do. If only all beings, humans or animals, would care for one another, regardless of species, the world will indeed be a much better place to live in. Here is the sharing by Shaila Raj: Clinging on for dear life to…

  • Happy World Animal Day, and in loving memory of Vixey

Vixey was rescued from a rubbish heap together with her brother, Wii. After 10 days, Vixey had a brain trauma. She survived the critical 3 day period and subsequently suffered from physical retardation and growth hormone deficiency leading to her eventual passing after 2 years.  But, despite all her shortcomings, in the span of…

  • By getting a pair of animals neutered, this is how much good you will do

Take a look at the astounding figures! These calculations are based on a pair of cats producing only 2 litters a year with 2.8 surviving kittens per litter. Yes folks, you would have prevented 2000 unwanted births in just 4 years – and more than 2 million in 8 years!! So, let’s get out there…

  • Another three feline visitors

Besides Mr G and the latest visitor, Bosco, we also have two regulars. They are Rosie the Calico and Ginger the ginger-cat. Both are quite well-mannered and do not make demands. Ginger is the most well-mannered of all them as she would just sit on our pillar and enjoy the scenery. Both are not here…

  • Indy’s world

Ever since Indy fell terribly ill last year, where no vet could diagnose what was wrong with him, where I rushed him for acupuncture, camped with him in the clinic when he was on drips and his life hung by a thread, took him every day for his antibiotic injections because he could not take…
