The Kinabalu team arrives home!!

Hillary’s father called to say the team would be arriving on the 3.55pm flight from Kinabalu. We had already planned to welcome them back from the airport and to give them our fresh-from-the-oven Chinese New Year tshirts (sponsored by Tabs & Associates).

So, Connie and I left for KLIA from Subang Jaya and we reached KLIA on time. The flight had just touched down.

Hi Mabel, Marco and Hillary!!

Brian and his family had to take an Air Asia flight, so we missed them.

 The team carried this banner up all the way (photos later).

 Yes, they certainly made it!

 Mabel and Marco’s father, Boon, Mr Leong (62, the oldest member of the team, also the first to reach the peak – he made it in 4 1/2 hours) and Hillary’s father, Kon, the leader of the team. This is Kon’s second time scaling the mountain.

We thank Marco, Mabel, Hillary, Brian and their families for their very kind and noble efforts and we thank you too, for having donated generously to support the teenagers’ aspiration and our work in helping the animals.
