We have subsidised RM60 for the three vaccinations (the last vaccinations for Buffy, Garfield and Moon). All three cats are up for adoption. If you would like to adopt them, please contact Veronica direct at her email below.

To: Chan Kah Yein <chankahyein@gmail.com>Dear Dr Chan,For your info, Buffy was ‘reserved’ to be adopted by a lady and when we informed her that Buffy is now ready to be collected and then informed us that she will not be able to do so with a reason being that she is planning to go for a fertility program beginning this May as recommended by her friend and husband.Due to the supposed adoption taking place before the General Election, we had sent Buffy for an early vaccination with the go ahead by the Vet on last Sunday.We decided to bring Garfield and Moon for their last vaccination today due to the forthcoming General Election this weekend. Hence, we attach herewith original copies of the Medical Record Cards, receipts and the duly completed Medical Subsidy Forms for all 3 furry kids via Pos Ekspres today.Meanwhile, please find the scan copies of Medical Record Cards, receipts, the duly completed Medical Subsidy Forms and the latest photos of the 3 furry kids for your records and audit purposes.We are obviously very disappointed to receive this decision by the adopter but what can we do, guess it was not meant to be.Regards,Veronica

Veronica, I’m sure it doesn’t feel like a blessing at the moment, but if this person decided not to adopt a pet because she is trying to have a child, she is not a suitable adopter anyway. Even if she took Buffy now, she would probably dump the cat when she becomes pregnant. I can’t believe the number of pets that are surrendered to shelters, put up for adoption or simply abandoned “because we’re having/have just had a baby” ! Obviously the pets don’t count as family members to these people. Sometimes I wonder if they’ll dump the first baby when the second arrives? *sigh*
