Lester Hiew, a student in my college, is also an applicant to our fund. Sometime last week, Lester enquired if he could raise funds for AnimalCare as a project in the college’s Technopreneur Week. Just a few weeks ago, Lester and his friends had successfully raised funds for Second Chance at the college.
Well, of course he can!
Before the event even began, Lester’s mum (also a rescuer, from Klang) had already sold 21 tshirts for us! Why, thank you very much!
Today is Day One of the college’s Technopreneur Week.
Lester’s friends manning the booth.
Explaining to a parent what it is all about.
Lester Hiew on the mike, and Tracy, posing!
This lady, a parent, was very interested in what we do, so I was on hand to explain CNRM and other related issues. She was very interested, took two sets of book and will come back tomorrow with a fellow-rescuer friend to ask more questions. She has also rescued animals before.
Lecturers dropped in to give the students their moral support.
This is my colleague, Mr Remee Dass. I have given him a copy of each of books ever since I started writing and today, he told me that his 11 year-old daughter has become a feeder-rescuer now – because she had been reading all my books! Wow…that is so encouraging! His daughter, Jerusha, wants to meet me, see my cats and she takes her parents to feed 4 street cats every day!
My mum’s handmade keychains.
The students are selling badges too.
Here they are.
Lester and me.
And a few days ago…
My 80 year-old mum has been busy making keychains again.
We have two major events coming up soon!

A very good effort by Lester and friends to raise funds and awareness for AnimalCare! 🙂
I must say that your mum’s keychains are cute and at 80 years old, she’s still so active, fit and hardworking! Salute her for spending time and putting in so much effort to make all these nice keychains for events.
Yes to both – Lester and my mum!!
