A reader texted me yesterday to ask if we would have any adopters for 9 Persian cats. Apparently, these cats belong to an owner but the owner wants to have them euthanised because she has an allergy to cats. I immediately asked for the photos so that we can publicise for adoption.
Till now, no photos have been sent yet.
This morning I asked for an update and was told the photos will be sent soon. I also took the liberty of asking another friend if she knows of anyone who might be willing to take these cats. My friend managed to get a kind gentlemen who immediately offered to take all of the cats when he heard that the owner plans to have them euthanised. This gentleman will rehome them later.
At the same time, another friend who had heard the news has also offered to rehome these cats and she will even get all the cats neutered first. Apparently, the owner is reluctant to pay for the neutering. As far as we are concern, whoever gets them neutered for the purpose of rehoming them is welcome to claim a subsidy from us as we consider this as a rescue (from being euthanised).
It is even more important to get these cats neutered as they are pedigree cats and if fallen into the wrong hands, they could be used for breeding and that would indeed lead to an extremely sad and abused life.
Meanwhile, we heard that there are 7 cats left now and another source says there are only 3 cats left. We hope the other cats have been rehomed.
We would not have published this story if not for the urgency of it. We also have no photo of any of the cats.
To adopt the cats, please contact Lydia at 017-6623238.
Our disclaimer holds.
Our purpose of publishing this news is solely to try and find homes for the 9 Persian cats. There is no malice intended towards the owner as we have no direct contact with her and do not know her side of the story.

Hello Norely! You asked the exact same question I had in my mind since I read this post. Strange how this can happen.
She probably started with 2, and never spayed or neutered. A year later there are 9 or more… 🙁 I read that responsible fosterers have taken in all the cats and will ensure that all are de-sexed before being put up for adoption. Phew!
