Spaying sponsorship for mum-cat and vaccination subsidy for her 3 kittens (Koo Swee Por’s)

We have fully sponsored RM125 for the spaying of Tam, a TNRM cat in Koo’s neighbourhood. This full sponsorship comes from all donors through our Medical Fund (RM50) and Berjaya Cares (RM75). We have also subsidised RM60 for the vaccination of Tam’s 3 kittens. This subsidy comes from our Medical Fund (RM20) and Berjaya Cares (RM40).

Hi Dr Chan,

Thank you very much to AnimalCare for agreeing to provide neutering
and medical subsidies for the following cases:

Tam & her 3 kittens (pictures 03-09)
Tam is a very feral mother cat who would even scratch her feeders and
was very difficult to catch. She currently has a litter of 3 kittens
(one other died) and incidentally, she’s also the mother of Cheekie &
PC. I left a big carrier with the feeder to be left in the backlane to
blend in with the furniture. The idea worked as after a week, the
feeder left some food in the carrier and Tam went in without
hesitation and was trapped. She and the kittens was whisked off to the
vet clinic for a check-up. Upon being let out in the secured
observation room, Tam went straight for the door and headbutt herself
against the glass panel a few times and even jumped up to a chest-high
window in a desperate attempt to escape. As a result, the vet strongly
recommended to spay her on the same day because he didn’t think Tam
can be confined in a cage over the weekend due to her feral behavior.
I agreed and Tam was successfully spayed on 7 June 2013 and released
the next morning. Thankfully, Tam was not pregnant. Her kittens were
dewormed, vaccinated and released too but I’ve urged the feeder to put
the kittens up for adoption instead of leaving them out in the open at
the backlane. Thus, I would like to apply for a neutering subsidy for
Tam and a medical subsidy for the kittens.

The completed application forms, the original receipts and copies of
the vaccination cards have been posted to AnimalCare.
