The total bill for this cat is RM261. We have subsidised RM130.50. The cat has passed away now. This subsidy comes from all donors through our Medical Fund (RM50.50) and Berjaya Cares (RM80).
The applicant initially asked a friend to write on behalf of her:

Subject: Linda cheng’s sick cat
To: chankahyein@gmail.comDear ms chan
I have a 7yrs old stray cat suffering from suspect pneumonia virus for 2 weeks already. Now its very sick and need treatment from vet. ( to put iv drips) I need you to help me to pay the medical fees or maybe help to take the cat back for home treatment. I can’t take it back because my house have kittens that not vaccinated yet. Thanks.
Your sincerely:
Linda cheng
We received her application form today and it came with this letter:
We have also checked with the vet and learnt that the cat was in very bad shape. He could have been saved had intervention been done earlier.
The reason we agreed to subsidise this case is that when the applicant called, the cat was in dire straits and needed to be treated (put on drips) to provide some relief for his suffering. She claimed that she could not do it until we agreed to provide financial help. We agreed for the sake of the poor cat.
We strongly advise the applicant to take the animals under her care for treatment if they are found to be sick and not wait until it is too late.

Is this a demand or a request? I just wish that people would realise that when asking for favours, then ask nicely…if myanimalcare is not able to help, there may be some other kind people out there that wouldn’t mind giving a helping hand. It’s just the way you ask for favours really..
Yes, sigh. Is it our education system or is this just the way they are? In the phonecall, it was much worse.
