Neutering sponsorship for 1 male cat (Maslinda Abd Talib’s)

We have fully sponsored RM60 for the neutering is this male cat. This sponsorship comes from all donors through our Medical Fund (RM20) and Berjaya Cares (RM40).

Pic of cat sent for castration today.

This is community cat who i have problem catching. but he stay inside my house since last week. dont know why but at last he can be castrated. vet says he probably between 3-5 years old

    Hello Dr. Chan,

    I’m a little bit lost on the science of cat-mating.

    If a female cat has been spayed/neutered, will she be attracting male cats that have not been spayed/neutered?

    Because from what I have read, a female cat in heat will transmit some ‘smell’ that will attract male cats to mate with her. Is that true?

      Hi Dayana, I’m not a vet so I am not so sure, but normally, if a cat has already been spayed, she will no longer come on heat, hence, won’t be emitting the “scent” anymore. However, if she was spayed while being on heat, the hormones will still be in her body shortly after being spayed, and she might still emit the “scent” for awhile. Please confirm with a vet on this as I am merely guessing. Or try googling?
