Updates on the kitten (and family) in rubbish chute (Jay Lam Wei Siong’s)

Ref: http://animalcare.my/2014/07/08/urgent-help-and-home-needed-for-little-kitten-living-in-rubbish-chute-jay-lam-wei-siongs/

We contacted Jay to ask if transport assistance might be helpful for the kitten (we could not find anyone to adopt, but a friend was willing to help with transport to the clinic, if that might be helpful since Jay did not have his car at that time). Here’s Jay’s reply below. The kitten has a mother and another sibling too.

If you would like to help this family, kindly contact Jay directly at his email address below.

The rest of the story is about Jay’s latest rescued cat, whom he has now adopted.

Hi Dr. Chan

Apologies for my late reply – I have been unable to check my email as I have been coming home late for the past few days. I have just replied a lady who emailed me so I have left her my contact info to get in touch with me, and I’ll do my best to proceed from there.
By the way, when I was there earlier yesterday (friday) to collect up my car, I saw the mother cat and another sibling of the said kitten. So there’s a family of 3 now, which I certainly do not have the space or ability to foster them in my residence as my small apartment is an office and gym area.
I also just brought home a rescue I adopted who is an intact adult male 2 days ago, so hence not a conducive area for a mother with 2 very young kittens while he is settling in and I’m still house-training my Thor. He’s vocal, affectionate and very mild mannered but kinda timid and will pee/defecate if he is stressed. But otherwise so far so good – I’m very thankful my allergies arent flaring up with him in the common areas with me and he is very well-behaved as in he doesnt get into mischief around the gym and kitchen areas (BIG RELIEF). I suppose that comes with give and take – as he’s asked for my recliner chair, and got it. Fair trade as long as both sides are happy.
You can see him in the fotos I have attached. The first photo was prior to his adoption – he was living in my apartment block’s carpark and I also suspect he is an abandoned pet someone dumped there. The other pics are after I brought him home.
I guess it’s ok to publish this post on your blog and I will keep u updated with the rescue of the family in Dsara Jaya.
Cheers
Jay
