Neutering aid for 2 cats in Kuala Lumpur (Datin Norely Abd Rahman’s)

We have fully sponsored RM180 for the neutering of 2 warung nasi ayam cats (1 female and 1 male).

Hi Dr. Chan,

I am helping an Indonesian lady, Marhana Marhawi, who mends the above stall with the cats that she feeds at her warung.  There are 8 altogether and I’m trying to send 2 at a time.  I actually rescued a mummy with 6 kittens from the same stall about 2 months ago and myanimalcare had graciously agreed to subsidize the neutering fee. Thank you for that. The kittens have been successfully rehomed and the mummy will go to my friend’s house soon.

Back to this Nasi Ayam lady.  I kinda educated her about neutering. She obviously had no clue and she told me that she has no money to pay for my petrol fee to send the cat and the neutering fee. In her own words, “Kak, saya tak da duit nak bayar duit minyak kereta kakak apa lagi nak bayar duit doctor.” So I told her, I’ll try to help her if she tries to help me get those cats. It was easy because the cats are very tamed and quite well looked after by her.

To cut the story short, I sent 2 today. They are recuperating well at my house. I plan to send them back to the warung after they have recovered and get two more to send next week. The female was already on heat and we got her in the nick of time.

I enclosed pictures of them and would appreciate it very much if animalcare could subsidize the neutering fee.  I sent one that I found at school last week and the doctor told me that she had already been neutered after he had opened her up. Poor cat had to go through the trauma all over again. So to avoid that, I got the doctor to notch the ear of these 2 cats.
