For the umpteenth time, please do NOT use Poslaju

This post is meant for the applicants who still insist on using Poslaju. If you do not belong to this category, please ignore this post.

We have said it umpteen times – PLEASE do not use Poslaju.

If you want to claim from us, you have to follow our rules. That’s only fair.

PLEASE DO NOT USE POSLAJU.
SILA JANGAN GUNA POSLAJU.
請不要用 POSLAJU.

If you use Poslaju or any courier, there is no one to sign for your mail when our collection point is closed. They will just leave a note. Your mail is then supposed to go to the post depot (and I’m supposed to drive there to collect it with the note), but goodness know where your mail will end up after that.

If you use Pos Ekspres, it will be delivered directly to our mailbox – it doesn’t matter whether our collection point is open or closed. Pos Ekspres does not require any signature from the recipient.

So we ask you to please use Pos Ekspres and not Poslaju, but you insist on using Poslaju.

So here’s what happened today.

We received this note from Poslaju (please note that it is dated 29th June, but we only received it today (1st July)):

Capture

For the sake of helping you out, after work, we drove 1/2 hour to the post depot to collect your Poslaju mail. It was all jammed, so it took us 1/2 hour to get there.

The queue was 14 people long ahead of me. So I queued for 1/2 hour.

It was finally my turn, and they searched their drawers for 1/2 hour but could not find the mail.

You know why? Because their own postman had written the wrong tracking number on the note.

So, there is no such mail in their computer system.

They asked me if I know who the sender is.

No sir, I do not know. Our applicants come from the whole of Malaysia. The population of Malaysia is 29 million (plus/minus), so it could be anyone.

They asked me if I knew the correct tracking number.

Again, no sir, I do not know. There are 26 letters in the alphabet and 9 digits to figure out the 2-letter and 9-digit combination. Assuming it starts with E, which it usually does, I would still have 10072932710 different combinations.

So no, sir, I do not know the correct tracking number.

I only received a note from Poslaju with THAT tracking number (see photo above), but apparently the postman had written it wrongly (“Nombor ini tak ada dalam sistem kami”, they said).

Human error, I totally understand. What more when it’s nearing a festival.

(But dear applicant, we asked you to use Pos Ekspres, didn’t we? Why do you HAVE to use Poslaju?)

So after 1/2 hour of searching their drawers a total of three rounds, they apologised and said they could not find the mail.

We jammed 1/2 hour back home.

I took 2 hours trying to track down your mail.

So, dear applicant, I don’t know who you are, but if you sent your application by Poslaju (despite us appealing umpteen times to all applicants NOT to use Poslaju), please be informed that we did not receive your application.

Pos Ekspres is only RM3 and Poslaju is RM6, why must you use Poslaju??? Did you know that very often, when the volume is huge, they do not deliver your Poslaju mail? If there is heavy rain or traffic jams, this often happens. No delivery, and no note to the recipient. How many times has this happened? Oh, too many times. Your undelivered Poslaju mail will go back to the depot and sit there until after a few weeks when they send it back to you. By then, I trust your deadline for the application is already over.

And that is why we say, and keep saying, PLEASE DO NOT USE POSLAJU.

In future, to all applicants who insist on using Poslaju, we ask you now – Please do not apply to our fund. Please apply elsewhere.

Spare me the stress, please.

I run this fund voluntarily, and we set the rules – Use Pos Ekspres. If you are not able to follow our rules, I am not going to waste 2 hours of my afternoon, after work, to track down your mail.

If you insist that there is no difference between Pos Ekspres and Poslaju, we really don’t know how else to help you because we already told you that there is a difference, yet you fail to comprehend.

I am NOT driving to the post depot to collect undelivered Poslaju mails anymore, as of this moment.

Thank you.

5 Do NOT use Poslaju or any courier

4 Use Pos Ekspres (2-5 days)

Honestly, I don’t know how else to explain to the applicants not to use Poslaju. We use words and pictures and if applicants STILL do not understand or MUST use Poslaju, it’s better they apply elsewhere.

Please spare me the stress.

it’s time for you applicants to be less dumb, please.

It is very unfair for the applicants to do this to you, Dr. Chan. I am upset on your behalf. Please just ignore any poslaju notification. It is really the fault of the applicant. I’m sorry you have to go through this.

    Sis. Kah Yein,

If they are so stupid and so stubborn, please ignore their application using Poslaju, in future. Enough is enough! They certainly do not deserve you and your kind nature. They are just wasting your precious time and their actions clearly show their stupidity and selfishness. I feel so sorry for the hardship you have to endure.

Yes, I’m not driving to the depot anymore to collect undelivered Poslaju mails.

Good for you Sis. Sometimes you have to be a little harsh to be kind, otherwise these dumb ding-dong applicants will keep on taking you for granted. Selfish, inconsiderate humans are like this, no thoughtfulness at all. This has already happened for far too many times already. After all, they are applying for AnimalCare’s funds so they ought to follow AnimalCare’s rules. That’s only fair.
