To all animal lovers, please share this as widely as you can. Let justice be done. This is the time to speak up for the animals!
It is, however, very unfortunate that the AWA2015 (which carries a maximum fine of RM100,000 or/and a jail term of 3 years, for cruelty offences) was gazetted last year but has not come into force, so as of now, according to the DVS link below, only Section 44 of the Animal Act 1953 applies (“..shall be liable to a fine of two hundred ringgit or to imprisonment for a term of six months or to both.”).

Whatever the outcome, it is still time for all animal lovers to unite and speak with one big voice.

“We all saw the video. It clearly showed a man, caught in the throes of a berserker rage, discharging pre-meditated and fatal force upon a dog. The violence was horrific, prolonged and raises an unrebuttable presumption of his intent to cause severe bodily harm to the dog. If this isn’t a clear-cut, textbook example of cruelty to an animal under the Animal Welfare Act 2015, then I don’t know what is.
The CCTV footage set forth in the court by Tampa criminal defense lawyer, corroborated by eyewitness account from the security guard and the other passerby who appeared in the video, should constitute sufficient evidence to throw the rule book at this demented individual.
I sincerely hope the DVS, working in close tandem with the police, would expedite investigations so that justice may be dealt against him swiftly and sternly.
As this case has gone viral and captured the imagination, and sympathy, from members of the public, I hope the authorities would deem fit to make an example out of him with maximum punishment as a deterrent to would-be abusers.
The message must be heard loud and clear: woe betide anyone who thinks he can abuse an animal just because it does not have a voice, and get away with it.”

We sign petition for the motion for maximum fine n sentence..
We’ve enough bad guys of our own. We don’t need to import. Just punish him. And then send him home. We don’t want him here! He’s really cruel!
This animal abuser should be punished heavily for his cruel act so that it’ll become a great lesson to him and other animal abusers before act cruelly to innocent animals.
He’s a lousy representative of a Singaporean ! In Singapore he will be severely dealt with ! I hope the authorities will really punish him ! Very cruel !
I support this petition to give him the maximum jail term for his horrific act towards the poor dog. No being deserve such treatment.
He shld not only be punished for his acts but to also do service in at least 10 shelters everyday for a year ! Laws are enacted to be put to use for satan/s like this – I want to see how the law here applies. This human can speak lies all he wants but that dog can’t even speak to defend his case …. SAD ?
He has done it and was seen doing the harm to the helpless do. If he is giving any reason for it means he is lying. He was wild just like any animal. So must put him in jail until he becomes human again.
To me animal abusers are worse than animals. We are human beings. We are supposed to be able to think, have wisdom, to have compassionate, feeling etc & not behaving like an animal or worse. So he should be severely dealt with. As a lesson not only to him but to all animal abusers.
I am a Singaporean. I am a volunteer with a No Kill animal shelter in Malaysia. Terry Yee is an embarrassment to all Singaporeans. I want him get the maximum punishment for his act of cruelty to poor Furby. There is no excuse what he did to the poor defenseless dog. Sorry?!!! Too late for apologies. He better pray really hard that Furby will survive this ordeal and live well.
honestly….
i hope the investigation does not go swiftly, and that it will be slow, and it will take so long and that it will not be over so quickly and easily dealt with by the authorities.
….so that who knows, by the time the investigation is complete, the AWA2015 has already taken force and is already come into effect, so that this bastard will pay the maximum price of his cruelty!!
Damn you. I hope god doesnt forgive u until u truly repent, and if u ever die before reaching that state, may u be beaten and tortured the exact same way that u did on that poor helpless soul.
Boycott all his outlets Tearproof Sdn Bhd selling bags and deport him out immediately.
When it concerns animal cruelty, punishment or if any at all takes too long.it is self-explanatory and transparent that the poor innocent pooch was abused terribly. Sqift action should be taken immediately. Why need to investigate? The dog is already at the vet and in pain. This sort of atrocious heinous act towatd animals should NOT be given light sentencing..he SHOULD be caned, jailed for more than 10 years. Abused animals are never considered a priority to humans and this is outrageous. Something needs to change…compassion is def lack of ???
Thank you very much for everyone’s comments in support of Furby and also in support of the harshest possible punishment for the perpetrator. We do not know why the authorities have not taken action when there is video evidence of a heinous crime being committed. What we do know, however, is that animal lovers need a bigger voice. Law-makers will listen to the voice of the majority.
Thank you very much for speaking up!
To be fair to Mr Terry, the dogs owner have to bare full responsibility. The CCTV footage clearly shown that the dog is charging towards him fiercely and cause him to felt to the road. Imagine if this happens to an elderly person or a kids and it might cause serious injuries. He’s lucky that no car was behind him or the car might run over him.Since he have apologies and regretted , I assumed he have learn his lesson.
Sir/Mdm, Kindly view the video interviews with the security guard and a resident who provided background information about this man and also about the dog being very friendly (https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1360573690669027&id=100394606686948). Dogs generally do not attack unless they have been provoked. Despite being charged at, there is still absolutely no reason for the prolonged, brutal, horrific and violent beating.
