At last, I managed to get all five of them in a single shot!
Smurfy is really slowly but surely regaining his confidence again. Hooray! Just don’t make sudden movements when he is eating and he’ll be fine.
For the first time in two weeks, they messed up the room this morning. Before this, the room was exceptionally clean. Amazingly clean. Maybe they know that Ginger’s Catio is ready and they are ready to move out!! After all, they have been watching the construction from the upstairs windows. They probably know, “Hmm….that’s our new dwelling place…hmm…okay, acceptable, but we cannot go out to roam?”
No, you all cannot go out to roam. It’s just not safe. There are too many unfriendly humans here.
Minnie seems to like her new collar very much. That’s unexpected! I thought she’d flip like a fish out of water (sorry, this is not a good analogy).
Ok, breaking news! This morning, I saw Bella on the netting when I came home from the park and later, from inside the house, I heard that old familiar chirp of “calling” for a little bird to fly. I thought Bella was just starting flying lessons for Birdy, but later when I checked the nest, it’s empty.
Birdy has flown the nest. That’s really fast, so the only explanation would be that we have got the day of birth wrong. Perhaps they were born earlier than what we thought.
Which means, I can bring Minnie-5 down right now and start the process of acclimatising them to Uncle Ginger’s Catio and to Uncle Ginger, but that’s going to be a huge task and I’m all alone this morning. So I haven’t quite decided if I’m up to the task yet…
But the timing is impeccable, isn’t it? The catio was ready last night, and Birdy flew the nest this morning. Impeccable timing!
Sorry, Ginger, your peace will be disrupted for awhile after this, okay? But they are all your protégés, remember? You loved them.

Everything has been going so unbelievably smoothly, from taking back Minnie-5 until now. Can this last lap go smoothly too?
