I don’t know how or when he did it.
Our contractor was here today to tie up loose ends and help us with some minor repairs. So he was going in and out of the door, but he was very careful and would have noticed if a cat as big and bright as Ginger were to have escaped. Husband was going in and out as well. I was with Jayden all the time and we only went out in the morning to get some sun.
Ginger was still in the house in the afternoon because he accompanied Jayden. I remember this most vividly.
I noticed that Ginger was missing when he did not turn up at the kitchen to eat dinner with Tabs. I thought he was in the catio, but when I went out to feed Minnie and the boys, Ginger wasn’t there. That’s when I raised the alarm and husband said Ginger is surely somewhere in the house.
We didn’t have to look for long because at that very moment, Ginger was right there, at Stargate2, outside, asking to come in.
Hah! WHEN did he escape unnoticed??? How can anyone not realise that a cat as big as Ginger had sneaked out through the door when you are right there?
What sorcery is this, Ginger??
Of course we had also already taken off his collar with the two bells because the material actually started peeling and my husband says he could not hear the bells at all, so that defeated the purpose.

He wanted outside Stargate2 at dinner time, waiting to come in.

Ever since Smurfy was discovered to have lost weight, he has been occupying this special spot on top of the cage to get first dibs on every meal. Cats read their human’s mind. He has been eating well, but I have not weighed him yet.

How and when did you escape, Ginger-Longkang?
