The Royal Canin vet gave me a fantastic idea to increase the fluid consumption of the cats, especially for Ginger (frequent FIC), Bunny and Cleo (both CKD cats) – chicken broth!
So I made some early this morning and the aroma permeated the entire house. All the cats were very excited.
I used 1kg of chicken drumsticks and chicken breast, added some liver and hearts, some pumpkin and carrot. It was boiled in the pressure cooker.
Ginger was first on the scene. He simply could not wait. He jumped up onto the kitchen counter to get first dibs at the broth. I had to quickly dish out the broth, cool it under the fan and serve him.

This is the freshly-made broth.
Second and third helpings for him. Great! He needs the fluids.

I cut up some chicken meat to put into the broth for Bunny’s breakfast. He ate it all up.

Cow and Cleo also had some broth added to their raw meal while Indy had some added to his baby food.

At the catio, everyone had some broth added to their raw meal too!

An extra yummy meal today – for Malaysia Day!

Only Tabs wasn’t interested in the broth at all. But see next post, please.

Cow Mau had some extra broth after breakfast.

Cleo had a full bowl.

Bunny too!
Happiness is hearing the lapping sound as Bunny drinks his broth! This is something money cannot buy.
Next up…making the cat food…
