Bunny’s health has been up and down lately.
We know he’s as good as he can be, given that he is FIV-positive (on Vetri DMG), has chronic kidney disease (on thrice-weekly subcut), has chronic constipation (under control with medication, laxatives and probiotics), is blind but has eye problems (on Maximum Ophtal) and Bunny is already 16.5 years old now.
He has become very choosy over food too, but maybe his appetite isn’t as good as before. Or maybe his sense of taste isn’t as good too. We won’t know. So I bring in a menu for every meal and let Bunny choose what he likes. Also, he cannot eat too much at one go. So he has snacks in between his main meals. The bottom line is, as the vet says, “As long as they eat”.
Here are some photos taken yesterday:

With Jayden.

Bunny’s all-time favourite “nesting” position on our lap.

Cow Mau is very protective of Bunny and Indy doesn’t react even if Bunny accidentally bumps into him. As fierce as Indy sometimes looks, he’s actually a very kind and reasonable cat.

The Queen.

Bunny’s scratching post. Although blind, he can still get up onto it, sit on it and sunbathe every morning.
Cats and dogs need the sun. One of our vets told me that during the MCO because many dogs could not go out for walks, they ended up with more medical problems which is attributed to the deprivation of sunshine.
