Recently, we have had Samantha and Riley as regulars in our porch. Now they come 3 times a day to ask for food.
Then, we had Creamy, the male cat, who not only comes for food but also to sleep in the basket we place on our shoe bench.
So now, we have 3 cats as regulars in our porch.
Sometimes, NottyG comes as well. Today we saw him sitting with Creamy under one of our cars. For those who might not remember, NottyG is the male cat who raped Samantha. I tried to stop him by chasing him away, but it was too late, so Samantha is heavily pregnant now and will probably deliver soon or early next month.
These are not our cats but cats from the neighbourhood and if I have the time, I would try to catch them and get them neutered.
So far, Riley and Samantha are more trusting now.
Yes, it takes time since I don’t trap.
But besides the cats and the tree shrews, we also have nocturnal visitors every day. I’ve written about the toads and actually seen Toad (yes, one particular toad who is named, simply, Toad) grow from a little thing to quite a large toad now.
And there are also the snails. Quite a few of them, actually. They come out at night and eat cat poo (yes, they eat poo and decaying matter). They also travel into Bunny’s Room.
And just now, I found one eating cat kibble.
Snails actually eat many things. They also eat other snails.

I’m glad the cats do not harm them at all. Just as they do not harm the toads.
Live and let live!
