Samantha did not come today. So I’m very sure she has delivered her kittens…somewhere. I just hope she is at home where it is safe.
So I was just off-track by one day.
Riley came on her own today. During the morning round, I could actually already touch her. Maybe she is just too hungry (or greedy!) so she let me touch her. Oh, by the way, I think Riley is female but I’m not sure.
This afternoon, I decided to take it one step further.

I opened the front door.

And offered a bowl of tuna with seabream. Yummy, yummy….
And I walked away and waited patiently. Quite far away.
Riley still did not want to come in, so I pushed the bowl nearer to the door. And waited.

Hehe…

After finishing the bowl, she came in further and ate the contents from the can itself. I had accidentally left the whole can there.

After she finished, she politely went out.
This is Step One.
I really, really would prefer not to trap or trick any animal. I’d prefer that they come in on their own, then trust me, before I finally take them to the vet for a check-up, vaccination and neutering.
It takes time, but it’s friendlier this way.
Nobody likes getting tricked. It is rather disrespectful, in my opinion.
