Jayden has been watching me feed the cats for many weeks now, and today, he decided to do it himself.

Samantha, Gerald and Creamy drop by very often to eat at the “cat canteen” in our porch. We offer kibble, canned food and even BARF, if they would have it. I tried this morning, Samantha and Gerald didn’t know how to eat BARF. Samantha prefers kibble. Gerald and Creamy demand for canned food.
My husband has an apt description for Gerald’s demanding behaviour. He’s like an Ah Long, he says! (That is the lone shark, known to be very demanding and vocal when collecting debts). Gerald is here to collect a debt, because I got him neutered! You had better give me the food I want, you caught me and got me neutered, you sneaky person, you!

As demanding as he is with me, Gerald is gentle with Jayden. Neither are afraid of each other too!

Gerald even put his tail around Jayden to say “thank you”. Aww…
Children learn by example.
