Another new kid on the block? (Furby)

This morning, a bushy long-haired kitten (who looked so much like Bushy from the house down the road, even the markings are similar) was mewing loudly outside our gate.

Samantha was in the porch, as usual.

Let’s call her Furby for now.

I think she is female because she is very cautious.

Samantha does not like Furby, though. It took quite some time before I was able to serve Furby some food because Samantha kept smacking her away whenever she approached the bowl of food. Samantha was even willing to sacrifice her own food, just to shoo Furby away.

Ok, CNRM duties at work here even though Samantha isn’t neutered yet. But that’s just a kitten, Sam.

That’s a Calico for you, right? They have a character.

Here are some photos:

It took some time before I could get Furby into the porch. She was mewing nonstop.

Samantha kept smacking Furby, disallowing her to eat, so again, I had to distract Samantha with her bowl of food, but Sam would rather not eat. She was determined to shoo Furby away. Furby looks no older than 2 months, I think.

Furby finally managed to eat some food.

Then, Creamy appeared. So I gave Creamy some food, as usual.

You can see that Samantha still hasn’t eaten her food. She’s more engrossed with shooing Furby away.

Okay, peace at last.

But not for long…

Furby decided to come towards Creamy, and this totally frightened Creamy away. Sigh…

Creamy is a scaredy cat. Not so suitable for CNRM duties, but that’s okay.

I hope Furby goes home.

Meanwhile, Riley and Tabs were observing the goings-on from inside the house. I won’t be surprised if Tabs was probably saying, “Oh no, not another one, please…”. Tabs doesn’t seem keen on making friends. She’s happy being alone. But she has more or less accepted the presence of Riley.

Tabs: Well, as long as she keeps to her room upstairs, I’m fine.
